Portugal's top red grape goes naked... as the label says, it has not been in any oak (old or new) to capture the floral character of Touriga. From the warm Alentejo region, drinking this is like biting in a succulent, ripe black cherry with an earthy, tar note.
It has a silky texture, so easy to drink on its own but we had some with some Brie de Meaux and goats cheese it was dynamite - the gentle saltiness in the cheese making the wine taste a little more savoury.
Less than 60mg sulphites per litre (so on the lower side), indigenous yeasts and naturally clarified.
