Chianti Classico 2017, Tenuta Casenuove, Italy

Located in the heart of the ancient Chianti Classico region, in Panzano in Chianti, one hour's drive from Florence, Tenuta Casenuove covers 105 hectares spread over a succession of hills and valleys. There are 28 hectares under vine (in organic conversion), the rest of the estate largely laid to forest and olive groves.

It's got that classic Chianti mellow raspberries, cherries and tobacco vibe, with a bit of bite and some spicy tones. Great with a Tuscan peppery beef stew (peposo).
