Discovering Canada’s Okanagan Valley

For our first autumn ticketed tasting, we are doing something rather special. We’re giving you the chance to discover one of the wine world’s best-kept secrets, the Okanagan Valley in western Canada.

The Okanagan Valley runs 155 miles north from the US border, and lies east of Vancouver. Although the wine industry there is still comparatively young, its soils are ancient and diverse. Combined with hot summer days, cool nights, elevation and closeness to water, the region is producing world-class, boutique wines.

Halle Stephens, who imports Okanagan wines into the UK (and just happens to live in Acton), will be taking us through a selection of wines that rarely make it out of the valley. And even then, only a few cases cases each vintage. So while we will extend the usual 10% discount on any bottles bought on the night, the number available will be very limited. And we can only offer 12 tickets for this tasting.

The evening will start off with a welcome glass of premium Okanagan fizz before we taste a white and five reds, including a Pinot and some Bordeaux-style blends. We’ll also be serving up some cheese. We can’t wait to share these wines.
