Orofino Syrah 2020, Syrah, Canada

A wonderful, slightly wild, ethereal-style of Syrah from Canada's hallowed Similkameen Valley (near the similarly revered Okanagan valley).

From a windy, rocky single vineyard at altitude.

After destemming, this was native fermented in open top fermenters and hand punched twice daily, and then pressed into older French barrels, where it aged for 16 months before bottling without fining or filtration.
