Description
Easy-drinking Czech red, made from the local André grape which is similar to a Zweigelt in that it's a cross of Saint-Laurent and Blaufränkisch. A year in acacia barrels help develop the flavours in this wine, with nice dried fruit flavours coming through like dried cranberry and prune, as well as some black pepper spice, fresh blue and black fruits and woody flavours from the barrels. On the palate it has a high acidity with full, enveloping tannins and a nice savoury finish.
