Description

Chateau de Villneuve has been growing grapes since the late 16th century. The organic vineyards overlook the Loire river, just downstream from the beautiful Saumur Chateau. Five hectares of the white tuffeau soil grows Chenin (we also do their Cabernet France).

During fermentation.  30% of the Chenin goes into barrel, which gives a touch of creaminess and texture to the crisp chalkiness of the wine. Think apples, honeysuckle, a touch of apricot and a zesty lift.
