Petulant Nature 2019, Westwell, England
English Pet Nat from Kent... sparkling wine made in the oldest way possible, and now the hippest form of bubbles to sip. Only one ferment - which in this case is started in modern steel tanks and then finished in bottle, trapping all the naturally-produced CO2. Made from Ortega, with no added yeast, and it is unfiltered and un-disgorged - so it is cloudy.
The winemaker's notes say Bramley apples and sherbet, and we can't think of a better description. We enjoyed it so much on The Grand Duchess at Paddington (which specialises in fish), we thought we should get a few bottles in for all you groovers. Only 450 bottles made.
