Chardonnay 2020, Oxney Estate, England
If you think English wine is only about the bubbles, then this is a must-try.
Brilliant, elegant, cool climate Chardonnay (and before you say you hate Chardonnay, may we remind you it also is the grape in Chablis).
Creamy with a good acid backbone, there's a roasted hazelnut note to add complexity to the citrussy, orchard tones. Fermented in old oak, some of it spontaneous, and all of it goes through malolactic fermentation, too. Just lovely.
