Meet the Roussillon Winemaker - Thursday, 19th November at 7.30pm
Thursday, 19th November
7.30pm
£25 per tasting kit + snacks
We're delighted we can offer another Zoom winemaker session - with Richard Bray of Cathar(tic) wines in the very South West of France.
Richard, who lives in Chiswick, started making wine more than a decade ago when he was working as a wine merchant and agreed to help his mentor who'd taken a job in the Roussillon. He even wrote a book about it called Salt & Old Vines.
He now makes wines under his own label, and we recently started stocking one - his Catharsis Red - which is winning many fans. Production of these wines is tiny, often using grapes from old vines and viticulture on some of the steep vineyards can be quite heroic.
To join in, all you need to do is buy a tasting kit for £25 which includes: 4 x 100ml sample bottles, plus some Comté cheese and crackers.
You can pick them up from the store the day before or, if you really can't get here, we will deliver them to local postcodes. We will email each participant nearer the time with more details. The session will last around 45 minutes to an hour.
And if you want to buy any of the wines tasted, we will offer every participant a 10% discount if orders are made by email and received by Friday, 20th November.
