Description
If you think Italian whites are basically Pinot Grigio in many different guises, then you will (hopefully) be surprised and delighted by the elegant rendition of one of Friuli's signature grapes, Friulano. It used to be known as Tocai but the Hungarian complained. Strongly.
A lack of the imagination over the name does NOT translate into the wine, which has light apricot tones. Rounded in body with a nice freshness but not searing acidity. We think its nice to sip on its own but is also pretty bloody brilliant with food - spatchcock roast chicken with a herby relish, a good pork chop, and some pasta with ricotta and lemon zest.
