Description
We’ve sold this wine since we first opened in 2013 and it is still a best-seller.
The producer is Eduardo Miroglio who made his money in textiles in Italy before buying vineyards in the Thracian wine region, in southern Bulgaria near the border with Greece and Turkey - which now produces some of the country’s best wines.
This Pinot has the heady Pinot scent, but also some smoky notes and hints of wet leaves in a forest (what the wine trade loves to call ‘sous bois’). You really cannot get an enjoyable Burgundy for this money. Stick it in a decanter, tell your friends it’s from Beaune - and see if anyone challenges you.
Great with mushroom dishes; soft, earthy cheeses; roast chicken, turkey and game birds.
