Malvasia 2020, Ermacora, Italy

Malvasia has been grown in Friuli (near the Sloevenian border) since the 1300s and this estate, in the Colli Orientali region, makes one of our favourites. It is a wine with substance that is best with food.  No oak, but texture from six month’s lees stirring before bottling. An alternative to Rhône whites.
