Join us for this FREE online chat and taste with Arnold Holzer, the winemaker of our hugely popular Wagram Gruner Veltliner.
Arnold was just 23 when he took over winemaking at Eschenhof Holzer, representing the fifth generation of this small family vineyard in the Wagram wine region of Austria. His vineyards are dotted around the village of Grossriedenthal, an hour's drive north west of Vienna. The löss (clay) soil makes wines where the fruit shines through, making his wines three Wagram-branded wines so easy-going and drinkable.
The Eisenhut Roter Veltliner is a little more complex, with an orangey note and a spicy tingle on the finish.
The Invaders is a skin-contact Muller-Thurgau with some tropical tones and light tannins from being fermented with its grape skins.
